world championship 2007....
Greetings from FIRST,
In recognition of your important contribution to FIRST, we want you to be among the first to know:
The 2007 FIRST Championship will be held once more at
the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA
April 12-14, 2007
We recently returned from Atlanta and the 2006 FIRST Championship. This season's finale, our "Superbowl of Smarts," featured 344 FIRST Robotics Competition high-school teams, 81 FIRST LEGO League World Festival middle-school teams, 51 FIRST Vex Challenge high-school aged teams, and their mentors, teachers, families and FIRST fans. It was an extraordinary weekend filled with energy, teamwork, and gracious professionalism! Until you've experienced it, you can't imagine how much excitement math, science, engineering and technology can generate in over 20,000 attendees from all over the world.
To add to the excitement, FIRST is grateful to have had Secretary Carlos Gutierrez of the U. S. Department of Commerce, Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming, Congressman Jim Langevin of Rhode Island, Atlanta's Mayor Shirley Franklin, and Sergey Brin, Co-Founder and President of Google, all speak to those gathered at the Georgia Dome this year!
If you've experienced it, you'll want to see more. If you've never experienced it, you don't know what you're missing, so PLEASE SAVE THE DATE AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES ABOUT FIRST.
